Cost for joining: Fees and what it goes towards for your involvement in the Young Marine program:
Description of all fee(s):
$35 -Enrollment fee/Initial fee (One time)
$175 -Boot Camp/Recruit Training (One Time)
$35- Annually ( Due every year in August)
$10-Unit T-Shirt ( Due at at time of enrollment)
The initial fee to join our unit is $45($35 enrollment /$10 unit T-shirt) which is a one time enrollment fee, then annually the fee will be $35 due on or before September 1st of each year.

- Every YM who recruits another YM will take $5.00 off their annual fee for duration of being in the Richland County Young Marine Program, this is above and beyond any awards for recruitment . The recruited YM has to be currently in program at time of Re- Regisration period , which is every year in starting in August and due by September 1st.
The enrollment /annual registration fee - Any remainder goes towards ribbons,ribbon bars, certificate costs for each quarter.
** $10 of enrollment fee will go towards unit Tshirt which will be issued while in Recruit status,
This is our unit T-Shirt. Gray in color, and will be worn at every drill unless directed differently. The Red National issued T-Shirt will be worn on ocassion when directed by unit Commander.
Sizes - Youth - 12,14,16, 18 Adult - Small, Med, Large, X- Large 2 X- Large,
This cost is a one time fee that will allow the Young Marine to go through the 40 hour "Boot camp"/ Recruit Training process and become a member of the Richland County Young Marine unit
* Phase I - Introduction to Boot Camp, Basic Performance Objectives, Close order drill, Customs and courtesies, US history and traditions, Physical Fitness Education, Discipline & citizenship, Self discipline,Self respect, Leadership and Teamwork.
* Phase II - Uniform regulations & Personal hygiene and continuation of phase I . Additional educational training and classes.
* Phase III - Continuation of first 2 phases while recapping and incorporating Team Building activities for unit cohesiveness.
* Final Phase Test out of performance objectives* Physical Fitness Test* Continuous Training of first three phases.
After Final Phase
* Issue for fitting,sizing and patch work-The Young Marine uniform (Trousers, Blouse, Cover, and Boots) *RCYM Unit T- Shirt * Boot Bands * Cover (Hat) * National T-Shirt (Red) *RCYM unit Patch * YM Semper Fi patch (National) *Web belt (khaki)* Olive drab nameplates
* Graduation - Issue Certificates, Awards and Ribbons. Award promotion to one Honor Recruit. Issue Dog Tags to new Young Marine
- total cost also goes towards food during Boot Camp,training facilities and supplies used for sessions
If not choosing to pay 'Boot camp" in full, pay half now and half later within 30 days. Needs to be paid in full prior to start of Recruit Training/Boot Camp.
If paying for enrollment and boot camp in one transaction and in full. This includes Enrollment,Boot Camp and Unit T-shirt.
This one time fee is for Volunteer Adult(s) with a high school dilpoma or equivalent . A Volunteer Adult is a staff member , support group member or if interested in one of the Unit Staff positions it all cost the same for any Adult Volunteer position in our unit.

Our yearly Encampment will coexist along with this years Recruit Training/Boot Camp.More information to be passed along at upcoming drills
We are a non profit organization 501 (c) (3) . We run solely on funds donated to our unit along with any fundraisers we may have.Our unit is ran by adult volunteers who do not get paid for their involvement. Any donations to our program are tax exempt to you. and would be greatly appreciated
Purchase a 'Beanie' to wear during encampment, boot camp, cold weather activities and physical fitness training
Crewneck sweatshirt used for coldweather activities. worn at times with BDU cammie trousers. Also used mainly for PT- Physical Training as well as new Recruit attire.
